Miss Winnie Deputy of Crowley is in Lafayette visiting friends.

A[mes] and Miss Anna Martin of Crowley are visiting relatives in Lafayette.

Mr. Jules Petatin of Grand Coteau was here last Tuesday visiting his brother-in-law, Mr. AD Martin.

Mrs. TM Biossat went to Alexandria during the week.

Mr. MC Holt, a leading merchant of Crowley, La., was in Lafayette this week on business.

Mr. Louis A. Veazey, through Mr. Rogan, has accepted a position as manager of fence gang. Mr. Veazey left last Monday to take charge.

Mr. Louis Demengeaux left last week to attend court at Houston, Texas.

Misses May and Ruby Scranton were visitors to Dr. A. Gladu's family last Sunday.

Little Bertha Himel, daughter of Clysse Himel and Augustine Bourgeois, aged 1 year and 10 days, died on last Wednesday at 12 o'clock noon. The funeral was held at the Catholic church, last Thursday at 10 o'clock.
