Waiting till day, he took an infant child, besmeared in its mother's blood, as it lay at her breast, and another child from the bed, and went to a neighboring house, where he confessed the atrocious deed and said he expected to be commended for it; as he had, for somet ime, thought his wife was possessed with a familiar spirit.
